My first score was 11 but a second try got it down to 3 :o) Didn't have to squint either.

When I've bought a 500mm (equiv) lens I'll be up for it too.

I managed 7, but considering the age of my eyes (and my monitor) I was quite pleased with that. I screen printed my test and I still can't see where I got it wrong.

It clearly pays to take time to do the test as well possible, taking care to resolve each row as best you can. I tried again, taking more care (and on a diffrent screen) and scored 4. I'm happy with that.

Try this test and you will get a read out (a low score being best) and also a chart showing areas of the spectrum, if any, where you have difficulty distinguishing tones... http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77 Post scores if you like....

Poster in Jessops Epsom

Today I've given Jessops Epsom some A4 and A5 copies of the version of our poster that Harold sent me. They will display them. As per Harold's suggestion they agreed to give a copy to people who by SLRs. (In fact the assistant grabbed one right away to give to her sister!).

(The colour toner ran out of the printer at work today so they are only B&W; whenever the new design is finished I'll replace them with the new ones in colour).

It states “members of the public and the media do not need a permit to film or photograph in public places and police have no power to stop them filming or photographing incidents or police personnel”, and that the “Terrorism Act 2000 does not prohibit people from… Continue
