Also check the DPReview site that Matt mentioned, but try the forums also...there are forums for every make of digital camera, where you can get advice from users all over the world. There are also forums (or fora I guess) there (or fora I guess) covering computer issues, retouching, etc...I just got great advice on a new laptop for instance.
